12. Jalapeno Cheddar Beer Bread

Jalapeno Cheddar Beer Bread

Anyways, whichever way you choose to open your beer, if you can do so, you can make this delicious bread. Also, if you can handle spice, totally go for the recommended amount of pickled jalapenos I have listed in the recipe. If you aren’t as big of a fan, you’ll definitely want to cut it back a bit. Actually, when taste-testing this bread with friends and family, it was pretty split. Those that like spice said it could be a little bit hotter, whereas those not as keen suggested a little less heat. So, make a judgment call on your end. Also, if you’re into the happy stuff, Old Yale’s West Coast IPA does go pretty well with spice. 11. Beer Barbecue Sauce

Beer Barbecue Sauce

How to make beer BBQ sauce from scratch and what beer styles work best. A beer barbecue sauce is simply a barbecue sauce infused with the concentrated flavors of a certain beer style. There are a few essential components that come together in a beer barbecue sauce. Pretty much all of them stand for a type of ingredient that can include numerous substitutions. Together they balance and uplift each other and address the five basic tastes – sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and umami (savory deliciousness). In addition, variations in mouthfeel contribute to those main ingredient groups and as a result, an exorbitantly large number of beer barbecue sauce flavors can be created.

3. Fermented Apple Ginger Beer

Fermented Apple Ginger Beer

When apples are in season make this naturally fermented apple ginger beer. It’s made with a ginger bug and is super fizzy and delicious! Fall is the season for apples, and apples and ginger go together spectacularly! Ever since I first made a ginger bug, I knew that I wanted to make ginger beer with it, as that’s its traditional use. But then I got the great idea to make fermented apple ginger beer, and I knew that was it. I had to make it!

This is probably one of the tastiest naturally fermented drinks that I’ve made, and I will for sure be making it again and again! This is actually a very simple recipe to make and doesn’t require much as long as you have the ginger bug made up already. You will need to get a gallon of apple cider (juice, not hard cider) that doesn’t have any preservatives in it, as they will hinder fermentation.
